The King announces the Christmas honors.

The Most Honorable the Marquess of Arcadia (Demon Dog) is elevated to His Grace  the Duke of Arcadia. The Right Honorable the Baron Nottingham (Koll) is elevated to The Right Honorable the Viscount Nottingham. The Right Honorable the Countess of Dublin (Kitty Kat Kelsey) is elevated to The Most Honorable the Marchioness of Dublin.

The King has also seen fit to grant the Asylum Army of Vindictus, led by its leader the Marchioness of Dublin, a royal charter making it the only royally chartered guild at this time in Palmshire and also grants the said guild the right to prefix its title with “Royal” (i.e. as in the “Royal Asylum Army”) if it wishes to do so. As first guild to be royal chartered in Palmshire, it shall have seniority over all other orders of knighthoods created in future. The said guild shall also be granted right to bear coat of arms to represent the guild in Palmshire.

Finally, in recognition of Asylum Army’s contributions, the King has created the special order of knighthood called Order of Asylum Knighthood. The order shall be headed by the Grand Master, the title of which shall be held at creation by the leader of the Asylum Army, namely the Marchioness of Dublin. The Duke of Arcadia and The Lord Nottingham are also made the Asylum Knight at the time of creation.

It’s a special order of knighthood because no one can be admitted as  Asylum Knight by the Sovereign unless on the advice of Asylum Knight Grand Master, meaning the present Marchioness of Dublin and her future successors effectively controls who can be admitted into this particular order of knighthood. All knighthoods are hereditary and held for life.
