To the members of Parliament of Palmshire,
In the view of the latest Prince Regent’s behavior in recent incident, it is clear the Duke of Cypress Hollow (GC) is unfit to rule the kingdom on behalf of our Sovereign (Legion). Therefore, the Privy Council (List of current Privy Counsellors) has “voted” to remove the Duke from office and has appointed the next person in line of succession to the throne, the Duke of Westover (Legolas aka griffinpage), as the new ruling Prince Regent.
Per the Regency Act, the Governor, the Lord Metaville (Bach Zhaa), has been “notified” of this development. In addition, as provided in the Regency Act, the Prince Regent’s powers is restricted for up to 30 days, upon which such restrictions shall expire, as follows:
1.) The Prince Regent may not dismiss Governor and the ministers. He may, however, appoint a new Governor and ministers from among the Parliament in case of incumbent resigning or vacating the office in any way.
2.) The Prince Regent may not create peerages for anyone except those listed in the line of succession, as last amended by an Act of Parliament under title of Succession Act.
As with the King, under the “unwritten” Palmshire constitution, the executive authority lies with the Prince Regent for the duration of regency and this authority is to be exercised only by, or on the advice of, Governor and the Cabinet.
Respectfully yours,
The Lord Commissioner of Palmshire
Given at our Court at St. Daphne’s the first day of December, two thousand and eleven, in the first year of our reign.
God save the King.
