Heir to the Dukedom of Rockford named
On 22 January, the King celebrates the first anniversary of his accession and begins second year of his reign. As part of the celebration, the King has announced naming of his heir to his peerage, though not to his throne as latter requires the consent of the Parliament. Demon Dog, the Duke of Arcadia, has been named today as the heir to the dukedom of Rockford. Should the present Duke vacates the dukedom in any way, be it abdication, death, or any other cases, the Duke of Arcadia was to inherit the dukedom as the 2nd Duke of Rockford, a honor that was to be accorded to no one except one in special favor of the present Sovereign.
Finally, the King has confirmed that he will submit a proposal to the Parliament for approval that proposes altering the line of succession to the Palmshire throne in favor of certain individuals. At this point, there is no plan to announce details regarding the alterations to the line of succession until at least February, prior to March opening of the Parliament.
